Magic Mike 2 Movie To Drop Original Cast Members Matthew McConaughey And Alex Pettyfer – ‘He's Worth A Lot Of Money,’ Source Says

Magic Mike 2 movie is definitely in the works and it is expected to come out on July 3 next year.

However, two original cast members are reportedly not coming back for the sequel, Matthew McConaughey, Dallas the strip club owner, and Alex Pettyfer, Adam (The Kid) one of the strippers.

Gabriel Iglesias one of their co-stars from the hit film, who portrayed the strip club DJ and a drug dealer, revealed that McConaughey is not going to be involved in the sequel.

"Word has it that Matthew is probably not going to be involved in this one," Iglesias revealed during an interview with Dish Nation.

"...He's worth a lot of money," Iglesias quipped. "That whole Oscar thing, the nerve right?"

Although Iglesias seemed to made fun of the situation it looks like McConaughey is not really coming back for Magic Mike 2 movie, from what has been reported earlier, the plot will focus on a road trip, hence the film will not be shot in strip club.

"All they're telling me-because they haven't shown me the whole script yet-is that they're taking the show on the road...so something tells me it's not going to be shot in Florida like the last one," Iglesias confirmed.

On the other hand, Alex Pettyfer revealed that he hasn't signed on for the sequel yet. However, Channing Tatum thinks otherwise.

"I think everybody's gonna be back, I think, and obviously nobody's deals are done," the actor revealed.

The 33-year-old hunk divulges that Magic Mike 2 movie will take on the concept of a road-trip movie with more struggles but, still packed with fun and excitement. "This one, we want there to be a lot of conflict and a lot of struggle", he explained, "but we also want there to be a shit ton of fun, of ridiculous stuff you'll never see in a movie again."

Tatum believes that the entire team will be back to reprise their roles, although no deals are done yet. Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer who are included in the original film are all expected to make a comeback.

While Pettyfer is being rumored to be having problems with reprising his role in the planned sequel, Matt Bomer on the other hand, expresses his interest in returning on Magic Mike 2 cast as Ken according to E! News.

"Those guys, we had such a criminally good time working together," Bomer said. ""We just hit it off. It was such an ensemble mentality, which didn't have to be the case under those circumstances.

"[Channing Tatum] is so great and gracious and [Matthew McConaughey] was such a great leader that everybody had a great time," the actor continued. "So if it were to come together under the right circumstances with a good script, which I'm sure [Reid Carolin] is putting together, it'll be really fun to do."

Magic Mike which was originally on 2012 sky rocketed to the box office making $113.7 million, in fact one of the most lucrative films ever made by director Steven Soderbergh. It is now on its way to becoming a Broadway musical.

However, this time around Soderbergh's go-to assistant will be helming Magic Mike 2 movie.
