CBS Secures Rights To 'The Atlantis Gene,' by A.G. Riddle, Self Published E-book About Genetics And Origin Of Humanity That Rocketed Up Bestseller Charts [PHOTO]

If you are anything like me, when you hear the words Atlantis, DNA manipulation, global conspiracy, and Aliens in the same sentence you first get really excited, and then your critical faculites immidately take over and you get skeptical. Aparently that is not a problem with the breakout sucess "The Atlantis Gene." CBS Films has acquired the film rights to the three "Atlantis" e-books written by A.G. Riddle, and plans to make them into movies.

The first e-book in the "Origin trilogy," "The Atlantis Gene, was self-published and released in March 2013. It was followed by "The Atlantis Plague" in November 2013 and "The Atlantis World" in May 2014. The final e-book reached No. 1 on Amazon Science Fiction rankings.

The story follows a brilliant geneticist and an international counterterrorism agent who must team up to thwart a global pandemic and discover the truth behind the origins of humanity.

Riddle worked in internet-centric companies for a decade before writing the sci-fi series.

Creative executive Winnie Kemp  is overseeing the project for CBS Films.

A review by Seely James said of the book, "It was [omitted] a first class thriller on par with James Rollins, Clive Cussler, and much better than writers like Dan Brown or Steve Berry. [...]

The story is complex in a good way, the writing is tight and easy to read, the concept is out there. If you read Steve Berry, Dan Brown, or James Rollins, then you will like the tremendous wealth of genetic and evolutionary science Mr. Riddle lays out in layman's terms. The human family tree is at the core of this story and he does a masterful job of educating you with background like Toba Catastrophe Theory and its effects on human evolution.

Mr. Riddle's imagination bears the mark of an author with a great career ahead of him, and he has the ability to write well enough to keep you fascinated, page after page.

Bottom line: Read this book and keep an eye on this author. I'm sure we will see a good deal more from him."
