Lady Gaga Praises Girl Group Crayon Pop As They Open For U.S. And Canada Concert Tour

Idol group Crayon Pop's career is skyrocketing far higher than they probably expected.

The girl group recently grasped the heart of international sensation Lady Gaga with their opening performance at the Marcus Amphitheater on Thursday.

Lady Gaga appeared at the bottom of the stage during Crayon Pop's rehearsals and supported the group, following their choreography, according to officials at the show.

"I am so happy to see them perform so close like this. How can I not love them. They are Crayon Pop!," stated the "Art Pop" hitmaker.

Crayon Pop's agency confirmed that the group held their first opening performance and generally received positive reviews from the crowd.

ABC and Lady Gaga have chosen Crayon Pop as the new generation of K-pop rookie groups. They've left such an impression that they will be touring with Lady Gaga and performing all around the U.S. and Canada.

Crayon Pop has been exploding in popularity after only debuting in 2012. The group currently consists of Geummi, Ellin, Way, Choa and Soyul.

The K-pop group debuted with their single "Bing Bing," followed by the release of their first EP, "The 1st Mini Album."

Crayon Pop officially put themselves on the map in the K-pop industry with the release of their single "Bar Bar Bar," which initially gained interest with the group's stage attire and unique choreography.

The group even ranked No. 1 on the weekly Billboard's Korea K-pop Hot 100 with "Bar Bar Bar" for the first time after 6 weeks since its release.

Billboard singled out the achievements of Crayon Pop, as they've been able to climb the K-pop charts consistently with their music and addictive choreography.

"Some top idol groups still have not earned at No. 1 on the chart, but Crayon Pop has nabbed the top slot just a year after its debut. It's atypical to see such a new group earn such an accolade so quickly," wrote the music outlet.
