Jennette McCurdy, iCarly star, and Ariana Grande, the singer who got more notice on Nickelodeon's Victorious, share a lot of things. No they haven't shared leaked naked selfies, but those birthday suits might be fitting.

Sam and Cat stars Jennette McCurdy, and actress and singer-songwriter Ariana Grande both celebrate birthdays today. The former iCarly star turns 22 and the "Problem" singer turns 21.

One year ago today, Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande were self-professed BFFs.

"Want to wish @jennettemccurdy, one of my favorite to ever exist, a happy birthday. Honored to share this day of birth with you. #jodyposture" tweeted Ariana to Jennette.

Not anymore. That friendship was supplanted by what the media has been calling the Jennette McCurdy/Ariana Grande feud.

In the past year, Jennette McCurdy was better known for her leaked lingerie selfies and Ariana Grande was hypnotizing the world with her "Problem" video with Iggy Azalea. There were rumors that the selfies got "Sam and Cat" cancelled and that McCurdy and Grande were on the outs.

Ariana Grande won big at the Kids' Choice Awards and Jennette McCurdy didn't show up.

Ariana Grande grew up in Boca Raton, Florida. Grande made her acting debut in 2008 as Charlotte in the Broadway production "13." This got her cast as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon series Victorious from 2010 to 2013. She reprised the role of Cat on the spin-off series Sam & Cat, alongside Jennette McCurdy, who was playing Sam, the same character she played on iCarly with Miranda Cosgrove.

Grande broke through as a singer in March 2013, when the single "The Way" from her debut studio album, Yours Truly, hit the top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 . The album also debuted at No. 1 making Grande the first female artist to have her debut record enter the chart in the top position since Animal by Kesha in 2010.

The lead single, "Problem" from Grande's latest album, features Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and sold 438,000 downloads in its first week. Grande became youngest woman to debut with more than 400,000 downloads. The song debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Jennette McCurdy was born in Long Beach, California. She got into acting after she saw Harrison Ford in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope right after her mother recovered from breast cancer.

When she was eight, McCurdy debuted on the comedy skit show MADtv. Jennette has since appeared on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Malcolm in the Middle," "Lincoln Heights," "Will & Grace," "Penguins of Madagascar," "Zoey 101," "True Jackson," "VP," "Law and Order SVU," "Medium," "Judging Amy," "The Inside," "Karen Sisco," "Over There" and "Close to Home" before she actually got to act with Harrison Ford in the movie "Hollywood Homicide" in 2003.
