K-Pop Destinations: On Location With 'Triangle'

If you enjoy the drama "Triangle," why not take a chance and visit some filming locations next time you are in Korea.

Three sites we know that relate to the drama are the Sheraton Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul, the MBC Office Building in Yeouido (which has long windowed corriders frequently used for office scenes in MBC dramas) and the Kangwon Land Resort and Casino in Sabuk.

The Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel is a location in one of the opening episodes of "Triangle." It's the scene where Im Si Wan meets his psychologist to discuss his unhappy life.

The 5-star hotel is also frequently used in dramas because it's so beautiful. It's not only a top-notch place to stay, but it's a favored location for celebrity weddings. It was the location of Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung's wedding. It's also where Lee Bum Soo married his wife and the site of Jung Suk Won's wedding to singer Baek Ji Young. The hotel is located at 177 Walkerhill-ro, Gwangjin, Seoul. For information, call +82 2-455-5000 or visit www.sheratonwalkerhill.co.kr. There are shuttle buses from Incheon Airport.

You can't wander around the MBC offices but you can visit the real casino that inspired the drama's casino. The Kangwon Land Resort and Casino is located in Sabuk, which is a small town in the Taebaek mountain range. The casino was Korea's first to allow the admission of Koreans. It was established under a special law to support the development of abandoned mine areas. The hotel has 199 rooms at present, casino facilities with 960 slot machines and 100 tables.

Kangwon Land Resort & Casino is located at 65, High 1-gil, Sabuk-eup, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do. For more information, call 82-2-1330 or visit kangwonland.com. To get there, take the Gangwon Land Shuttle Bus from Gohan Train Station or take a taxi  or you can take a taxi from the Gohan Express Bus Terminal.
