Install Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini I8190; Custom Firmware SlimROM Now Released!

Owners of Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini can now install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini's latest official update is the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, as specified on GSM Arena. But thanks to ROM developers, Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini users can now opt to install Android 4.4.4 KitKat, Google's latest firmware.

Although the firmware is not an official release, Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini users who wish to install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on their smartphone can already do so. Genius custom developers already released the SlimROM which is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat update.

According to International Business Times, the SlimROM custm firmwar brings in customizable themes, as well as system and performance tweaks and improvements.  Moreover, the SlimROM based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini "is compatible for CyanogenMod, Oliver's CM and stock ROM users."

Particularly, the custom ROM is available for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, which bears the model number I8190.

Citing NovaFusion, the IB Times report noted that no bugs have been discovered yet from the SlimROM firmware based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat update.
