Upcoming Android Phones 2014: ZTE Unleashes A Trio Of High-End Smartphones, Nubia Z7, Z7 Max And Z7 Mini

A few weeks into the second half of the year, Chinese manufacturer ZTE has unveiled a triple threat of upcoming Android phones for 2014, and based on its specs, no one can be considered a midranger.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Chinese brand has took off the wraps of its newest flagship - the Nubia Z7, and certainly its list of specs is top-notch to say the least.

The Nubia Z7 packs a 5.5-inch display with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a Snapdragon 801 chipset and 3GB of RAM. Sounds familiar? That's because those are the same specs of the LG G3 which would hit the US in a matter of days.

The device also boasts what it refers to as Display RAM, which allots a separate memory for the display in order to conserve battery. At the back of the Nubia Z7 lies the same 13MP primary shooter with optical image stabilization, while there is a 5MP camera located in front for selfies.

Next up is the ZTE Nubia N7 Max. While we initially thought this one as a phablet (similar to the naming scheme of HTC), we were surprised that it is also packed with a 5.5-inch screen, but this time with a lower Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. It rivals the Samsung Galaxy S5 with its 2GB of RAM and Snapdragon 801 chipset.

Lastly, it is time for the Z7 Mini to be introduced. Boasting a 5-inch display with the same 1080p resolution as the N7 Max, the N7 Mini is reportedly bigger than the N7 Max, mainly due to huge bezels on top.

However, the insides are almost identical to the N7 Max - Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and the same 13MP primary camera and 5MP front shooter.

In the report, the Nubia Z7 would cost about $550, the Z7 Max costs $320, while the Z7 Mini is priced at about $240.
