'Walking Dead Amid The Ruins' Release Date, Spoilers, Trailer, And Screenshots : Telltale Studios Leaks Possible Main Character Death In 'Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 4' [VIDEO]

Telltale Studios' Job Stauffer has confirmed that "Walkind Dead Amid The Ruins" will be released later this month.

The tweet reads, "Walking Dead fans, thanks so much for your patience! We're expecting Ep 204 to arrive this month and should have news in the coming weeks."

"Captured, bloody and beaten; Clementine and her group learn what it's like to live under the heel of a leader whose intelligence is rivaled only by his propensity for brutal violence. With escape being a priority, Clem is forced to make hard-hitting decisions in this episode," reads the video description in the trailer.

"The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 3" launched in May. Titled, "In Harms Way," came out for PS3, Windows PC, and Mac on May 13, and on May 14 it arrived on Xbox 360. The iOS received a release of May 15.

With "The Wolf Among Us" now finished, Telltale are turning their attention back to "The Walking Dead Season 2" with this pair of new screenshots from Episode 4.

As you might expect, both screens are rather Clem-heavy. The first has her and what is presumably her party involved in a gunpoint standoff with mysterious aggressors. The second has her looking a wee bit fearful, which is perhaps understandable considering she's surrounded by zombies.

According to Job Stauffer, PR director for Telltale Games, the fourth episode, entitled "Amid the Ruins," will be releasing sometime in July. Stauffer posted this information in an announcement on his Twitter, saying:

A recent report detailed a major character may meet an untimely death in "Amid the Ruins." This is not uncommon for "The Walking Dead," as a major part of the game involves on-the-fly decision making, that usually spares the life on one character and sacrifices the other.

The game follows Clementine, a young girl removed from her parents by the zombie apocalpyse, and her struggle to find home and shelter amongst various bands of survivors, both good and bad. Clementine was also a major character in the first season of "The Walking Dead," although she was not the first game's protagonist. Occasionally, characters from the AMC series also make an appearance, but the game's storyline is not directly tied to the "Walking Dead" television show.

"The Walking Dead" has met with near universal acclaim, with overwhelmingly positive reviews from the gaming press.

A tweet from the studio reads"Clementine and her group are captured by a brutally violent new leader. Are you ready to make hard-hitting decisions in order to escape?" The official trailer subscription reads. "Only the strong will survive in Episode 3 of The Walking Dead: The Game Season Two, available to download on #XboxLive now!"

The current series, Season 2, was launched on the PS Vita on April 22 by Telltale after being available only on major platforms.

The description of the games trailer reads"Season Two continues the story that began in Season One. You are Clementine, a young survivor in a world gone to hell. The dead have risen to feast on the living, the living cannot be trusted. Choice matters: The decisions you make in the game change the story around you."
