Jenny McCarthy Says Rosie O’Donnell Will Heat Up The View; Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Donald Trump See Crash and Burn

Jenny McCarthy reacted to the news that Rosie O'Donnell will be rejoining 'The View' by predicting "they are definitely going in the direction of fire." McCarthy is already right. Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who was on The View for seven years, and Donald Trump both think Rosie will burn the show.

Jenny McCarthy says Rosie O'Donnell will turn up the heat at The View.

According to Us weekly the 41-year-old star told "I love Rosie. I have been a fan of hers forever. I knew they were looking to bring some heat to the table and there is no doubt that will Rosie there will be some heat. They are definitely going in the direction of fire. It's going to be some exciting television. I will be there with my beer and popcorn at eleven in the morning. I can't wait to see how it plays out."

Rosie O'Donnell was a moderator on the The View from 2006 to 2007. Rosie left the talk show after an on-air feud with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck was The View's resident Republican and now sees a liberal plot in the re-hiring.

"I do believe this has been in the works for a long, long time," Hasselbeck said on "Fox & Friends."

"[For O'Donnell] to have such ease the day of Barbara's goodbye show was shocking to me. Would you think that the woman who left the way that she did would be producing [Walters'] goodbye show? Here's the shocker: It was actually [O'Donnell's] hello show."

"In comes to 'The View' the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network, and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there," said Hasselbeck.

Donald Trump has also had his problems with Rosie O'Donnell. Trump believes O'Donnell's return to "The View" will be good for the show, but ultimately not so good for Rosie.

Trump told Confidenti@l that ABC made a "great move" in hiring O'Donnell back. "I think it's a good move on ABC's part," he said. "It'll have a short term positive effect. The show has really missed not having Barbara (Walters) on it. With that said, it'll have a short term positive impact, but then you have the long term. Rosie always self-destructs."

Jenny McCarthy also teased that she is already working on a new project "Monday there will be a big announcement. Everyone should do something they love doing but that shows off their strengths and have fun while doing it."

TMZ spilled that McCarthy is ready to close a "one-year, seven-figure deal" at ABC.

Rosie previously served a moderator on the popular American daytime talk show from 2006 to 2007, departing after an on-air feud with former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
