North American Anime And Manga Release Dates: ‘Bleach,’ ‘One Piece’ Season Six, And ‘Fairy Tail’ To Hit Shelves On September 30th

What do ghosts, pirates, and magical powers all have in common? "Pirates of the Caribbean" would be a good guess but that's not the case here. Instead, all of these elements are coming to North American anime and manga fans today in licensed formats.

Anime News Network released the list of upcoming North American anime and manga releases and the highlights are "Bleach" DVD set 22, "One Piece" Season Six, "One Piece Film Z", and a new "Fairy Tail" graphic novel.

"Fairy Tail" creator Hiro Mashima once stated in an interview with Barcelona (via Yahoo! Answers) that he feels comfortable focusing on magical stories because, "magic is what allows you, on one side, to dream while on the other side, gives you a big amount of freedom. In the end, it is a fantasy world, but the feelings of the characters have a special importance."

Fans of "Fairy Tail" seem to be just as enchanted with Mashima's use of magic as they've kept "Fairy Tail" in the top 20 best selling manga in Japan. North American fans will be able to continue to experience the latest "Fairy Tail" volume starting today.

Although "One Piece" fans have plenty of new chapters, anime episodes, and new "One Piece Pirate Warriors" game to look forward to, North American fans can also purchase season six of the "One Piece" anime adaptation as well as "One Piece Film Z" starting today.

Finally, while "Bleach" fans may be waiting for a box set version of the anime DVDs to be released, those who want episodes 304-316 can pick up the new "Bleach" DVD starting today, September 30th.

For the full list of North American Anime and Manga releases this week, fans can head over to Anime News Network. With the release of "Bleach," "One Piece," and "Fairy Tail," October is off to an exciting start for North American Otakus.
