MTV IGGY Calls CL The ‘Beyonce Of 2NE1’

The 5 things that MTV chose was her multilingual talent, her lyrics talent, her singing and dancing skills, being fashion designer Jeremy Scott’s best friend and opposing plastic surgery.
This article was written in order to give a bit of background on the singer before her official U.S. solo debut next year.
CL’s multilingual ability is a great plus as she will be debuting overseas. She lived overseas for most of her life and is fluent in English, Japanese, Korean and French.
She has revealed her rapping skills in these different languages and is no doubt that she if fluent in these 4 languages.
After signing on with YG Entertainment, the agency made sure not to create a whole different person, but work with CL’s personal style and accentuate her best features. She has participated and co-wrote many songs including, “Crush”. “Baby I Miss You”, “MTBD”, “If I Were You” and more. She also wrote her rap portion for Skrillex’s “Dirty Vibe.”
Although she was assigned to 2NE1 as the leader and rapper, it is obvious that her range of talent does not stop there. She has improved her vocals drastically and can be seen singing in songs like, “Missing You” and “I Love You.” CL’s dance moves have also been acknowledged as well, making her a ‘triple threat’. Her skills in rapping, singing and dancing has made her an artist that can perform by herself on stage and make a fierce stage.
She is also known to be fashion designer Jeremy Scott’s best friend. Jeremy Scott flew all the way to Korea after seeing the group’s “Fire” music video and the two became friends ever since.
In Korea, it is known that getting plastic surgery is normal, especially for K-Pop artists. However, CL is known for refusing plastic surgery stating that she loved her natural look and that she doesn’t plan on getting surgery.
CL has recently signed with Scooter Braun for her U.S. debut next year.
