5 Young Hollywood Starlets In Love With K-Pop

KCON begins in LA on July 31, and will head to New Jersey in August, spreading K-pop love to the United States a little bit more each year. As K-pop becomes more popular throughout the world, some of Hollywood's biggest stars have fallen into its trap. Here are some of Hollywood's youngest, most promising women who have publicly declared their loving relationship with K-pop.

Emma Stone
Last week, Emma Stone discussed K-pop with Conan O’Brien, and mentioned her love of 2NE1 and Girls’ Generation. She called K-pop “beyond excellent, and the best thing you’ve ever seen.” O'Brien described obssessions as fleeting, but any K-pop fan knows that once you're in it is a difficult world to escape, and Stone seems pretty happy about being in it.

Lorde
One of Lorde’s friends showed her the television competition show “K-pop Star,” where she discovered YG Entertainment soloist Lee Hi. She promised during one interview that, “I’ll do a Mash up of K-pop songs.”

Anna Kendrick
It was a while back, but one of the biggest things for K-pop in North America was the Funny or Die sketch featuring f(x) and “Pitch Perfect” star Anna Kendrick. Kendrick’s come a long way since then, and has become one of Hollywood’s most popular young actresses, but this is still a memorable moment for K-pop. Big Bang’s “Fantastic Baby” was also featured in the trailer of “Pitch Perfect 2,” solidifying Kendrick’s connection with K-pop.

Lady Gaga
Not only does Super Junior’s Heechul absolutely love being Lady Heehee, but Lady Gaga has gone to tour Korea. She showed up at SXSW’s K-pop night out in 2014, and had K-pop act Crayon Pop tour with her.

Chloe Moretz
Of all of the Hollywood starlets on this list, Chloe Moretz has probably spent the most time with a variety of K-pop stars. She recently appeared on the Korean television show “We Got Married,” paired with Eric Nam in a virtual marriage. During filming, she also met Super Junior M’s Henry Lau, former Jewerly member Yewon, U-KISS’s Kevin, and 15&’s Park Jimin.
