Fans Criticize 'Garo Sero' Institute after Mentioning Past School Violence Rumor of BLACKPINK Jennie

BLACKPINK Jennie's fans were not happy after lawyers from the YouTube Channel "Garo Sero" Institute mentioned the idol's false rumors in light of the emerging school violence issue among Korean stars.
On Feb. 17, YouTube channel "Garo Sero" Institute, hereinafter referred to as Ga Se Yeon, posted a new episode for their vlog content titled, "New Zealand?" (end) Zealand! Jo Byeong Gyu school violence controversy!!! (feat. Jennie)" was uploaded.

As the thumbnail involves the two Korean celebrities, BLINKs (fandom of BLACKPINK), expressed their disbelief when the lawmakers mentioned Jennie's past rumors, which have been proven false long ago.
Ga Se Yeon Recalls BLACKPINK Jennie's Previous School Violence Controversy
As the school violence news among Korean actors and K-pop actors increase, BLACKPINK Jennie was then again involved as the YouTube channel brought up the topic of the "Uncanny Counter" star Jo Byeong Gyu, who was recently accused of being a school violence perpetrator when he studied in New Zealand.
The gist is that the school violence accusation sparked when netizen "A" claimed to be verbally abused by the actor in the country. As this was the second time Jo Byeong Gyu was involved in such speculations, netizens and media's attention shifted to the post on the online forum written by "A."

Shortly after, his agency HB Entertainment denied the allegations and it was also revealed that the person who accused the actor admitted it was a false accusation, deleted the post, and apologized.
In the latter part of the video, Ga Se Yeon then mentioned Jennie and said, "It's a long time ago, but Jennie comes to mind first when I think of New Zealand school violence."
In particular, during the idol's pre-debut era, BLACKPINK earned a traction for being the first girl group of YG Entertainment since 2NE1. Among them, Jennie is one of the most popular members due to her visuals and fancy background, even prior to debuting.
Fans' focus also intensified when it was revealed that Jennie studied in New Zealand. As she rose to stardom, a netizen immediately seized everyone's attention for claiming that she was bullied by the female star. The issue even affected the idol even after her debut as a BLACKPINK member.
In response to defend Jennie, her schoolmates attested that the idol was rather a bright and friendly student when she was still in New Zealand.
Fans Demanded "Garo Sero Institute" to Take Down the Video
"Garo Sero Institute" is one of the most influential right-wing channels on YouTube, which consists of lawmakers that give insights about politics and entertainment news. It currently has an impressive subscriber count of 640,000.
Supporters of Jennie, particularly BLINKs, demanded the channel to delete the video on the comment section.
A fan said, "If you don't want to be sued by YG, you can take it down," expressing that it was also proven to be false rumors written by an anti-fan.
Nevertheless, Ga Se Yeon, in the video, expressed their opinion on the recent revelation of school violence. Kim Yong Ho said, "Some say that there is an excessive public opinion against school violence perpetrators. I sympathize with some of them. But now school violence is becoming more subtle and cruel. If you hit someone and think, 'Oh, I'm going to be a celebrity later,' you need to be more alert to celebrities who have been exposed as school violence offenders enough to stop the violence. That way, it will be effective in preventing it."
