BTS Reaches New Milestone on Billboard with 'My Time' + Remains Positive After 2021 GRAMMY Awards

BTS continues to dominate the world with their catchy music. On Monday, March 15, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook, V, RM, and Suga reached another milestone in the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart. Keep on reading to know more about it.

BTS Achieves New Record on Billboard Chart

BTS is just one of the few acts that have songs that spent more than a year on a Billboard chart. Recently, the South Korean boy band's "My Time" was pronounced to have officially spent a total of 52 weeks on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart.

This is not the first time for BTS. As a matter of fact, this is the fourteenth single from the world's biggest all-male group to reach the said milestone. Other tracks that previously spent more than a year in the tally include "DNA," "Fake Love," "Spring Day," "Blood Sweat & Tears," "Fire," "I Need U" and "Mic Drop" among others.

The latest feat of BTS just proved that "My Time" was one of the most famous tracks from their "Map of the Soul: 7" album, which is also said to be the most successful EP by far. The track debuted at No. 12 and later rose to No. 9. It even reached the Hot 100 tally, which is quite unusual for a K-pop group.

Forbes projected that "Filter" is likely to be the next BTS song to spend one whole year on the Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart. The said track just needs another week to be officially included in the septet's list of songs to reach that mark in 2021.

BTS Stays Positive After Shocking GRAMMY Loss

Meanwhile, BTS leader RM remained optimistic following the group's defeat at the 2021 GRAMMY Awards. Most, if not all, ARMYs are aware that Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook, V, RM and Suga failed to clinch a trophy this time after they were beaten by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande with their chart-topping collab track called "Rain on Me."

RM said that they did not take the defeat in a bad way as it only motivated them to work harder next time. Though he acknowledged that there were many people who expected them to fail in getting a GRAMMY trophy, he took it as a sign for them to get it themselves.

The group leader furthered they are more focused on the fact that BTS was the very first K-pop act to be nominated in the prestigious awarding event. Not only that because they are also the very first South Korean artists to be given a chance to perform on the GRAMMY stage.

RM shared he found some articles saying that they had an epic failure in bringing home a GRAMMY trophy. However, the "Life Goes On" hitmaker encouraged everyone to think of the nomination and their performance in a positive light.

Of course, RM thanked all fans who believed and supported them from the very beginning. The BTS member even told everyone to never stop and keep on going.
