EXO-SC made their debut in July 2019 with an extended play titled "What a Life." The EP is composed of six songs including the title track of the same name. It was revealed the Sehun and Chanyeol took part in writing the lyrics of the singles and producing the album.

The EP's title track, "What a Life," is a hip hop song that features distinct plucking sound and lyrics carrying a message of both working and playing enthusiastically. The track is far different from their EXO releases.

Exo-SC received their very first music show win with "What a Life" on KBS's "Music Bank" just eleven days after their debut.

In June last year, the duo made their first comeback with their first full-length album "1 Billion Views." It contains the title track of the same name, plus eight more songs for a total of nine singles. Like in their first release, EXO members Sehun and Chanyeol participated in writing all songs in the album and even composed some of the tracks.

EXO-SC's "1 Billion Views" is about comparing the feeling of constantly missing someone to watching a video a billion times.

The duo became the bestselling subunit in Korea after selling 900,000 album copies, which is a combination of the sales of their debut EP and first full album.
