On June 17, Mnet aired its 714th episode of its weekly music show, "M Countdown." Top K-pop groups including TWICE, Brave Girls, TXT, WEi, GHOST9, and more performed in conjunction with their respective releases.

Solo artists Sungwoon, GOT7's Yugyeom and BamBam, also graced the stage, together with the much-awaited return of N.Flying, UP10TION, and EVERGLOW.

During the awarding segment, TWICE proved their title as "Asia's No. 1 Girl Group" after snagging their 1st win for "Alcohol-Free," beating TXT.

TWICE Secures 25th Trophy on the Mnet Show, Now Sits alongside EXO to Have the Most M Countdown Wins

Top girl group TWICE who made a comeback with their new album, "Taste of Love," wrote another history again. Following their No. 1 trophy from "M Countdown," the nonet now holds the title as K-pop group with most M Countdown wins, alongside EXO.

TWICE and EXO currently have 25 wins, an incredible record for third-generation groups that debuted in 2015 and 2012, respectively.

Meanwhile, EXO made a comeback with their special album, "DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING," on June 7.

K-pop Groups with Most M Countdown Wins

Following EXO and TWICE who have the most M Countdown wins, legendary second-gen K-pop groups BIGBANG and Girls' Generation rank No. 2 and 3.

Despite having no full comeback for five years, BIGBANG has 23 wins, while SNSD who remains on hiatus prove their power with 18 wins.

Ranking 5th, SM Entertainment groups TVXQ and Red Velvet tie with 17 wins. They are succeeded by 2NE1 with 16 wins.

Top-notch second-gen boy groups secure the 7th spot, in which 2PM, HIGHLIGHT, Super Junior, and SHINee have 14 wins, together with their junior, GFRIEND.

At No. 8, MAMAMOO and INFINITE tie with 13 wins, while f(x), BTS, Psy, and ITZY succeed at No. 9 with 12 wins.

ITZY impresses with the record, despite only debuting last 2019, and is the youngest group on the list.

Lastly, WINNER and Shinhwa completes the top 10 with 11 wins.
