Former IZ*ONE Nako Personally Addresses Rumors of Being Bullied in HKT48

Former IZ*ONE Nako Rumored to be Bullied in HKT48

After IZ*ONE disbanded in April of this year, the 12 members of the group returned to their respective agencies and pursued either individual or group activities. As such, one of IZ*ONE's Japanese member, Nako, returned to Japan and resumed her activities as a member of HKT48.

Despite returning to Japan and resuming her Japanese promotions, Nako continues to actively communicate with her South Korean and international fans.

Recently in November, Nako sparked rumors of her being bullied by her fellow HKT48 members after netizens raised the suspicion that the former IZ*ONE member had been dropping signs of the alleged bullying.

In a post made by Nako, she shares with fans how she had lost her Apple Airpods and was not able to find them until a week later in a trash can.

After finding out that Nako found her Airpods in a trash can, netizens began compiling instances wherein her HKT48 members were making fun of Nako for speaking Korean or making rude facial expressions.

The netizen who raised the suspicion also pointed out in their post that the members would show their dissatisfaction when Nako would accidentally speak Korean, and would make fun of her for looking like a K-Pop idol.

The rumors were later intensified when Nako expressed how much she missed her fellow IZ*ONE members, saying, "I really miss IZ*ONE."

As the rumors continue to spread on online community sites, Nako has stepped up to personally address the bullying rumors through a post on December 6 KST.

In the post, Nako wrote, "I am so tired and I just want to sleep even a little during the break. But strange rumors are spreading, and I am so worried about it. So I am writing this e-mail [post] right now."

Nako went on to express her frustration, and also apologized for causing misunderstandings. "First of all, I am sorry for making such a misleading remark. But it is sad that there are people who believe in the rumors. I am writing this e-mail because I don't like rumors spreading strangely like this," Nako said.

She simply concluded saying, "I am sure that those who read this don't believe the rumors, but I want the people who made the rumors and the people who believed it to know that I am not in a good mood right now."

Meanwhile, Nako has been a member of HKT48 since 2013, and was active as a member of IZ*ONE from October 2018 to April 2021.
