4-Hour Shinkansen Ride to See Jaejoong for Osaka Concert? No Problem

When the video began to play, Jaejoong's fans went wild with the red glowsticks.

All the seats were filled, so more seats were added. Those filled up quickly as well, and some 22,000 fans filled the huge Osaka-jo Hall. It was a cold night because of the early rains, but it didn't hinder Jaejoong's fans from filling up the large venue.

Jaejoong entered the stage wearing leather pants and a long black fur coat and began to sing "9+1" and "Butterfly." That's how the 'Kim Jae Joong 1st Album Asia Tour Concert in OSAKA' began. Flashing the tattoos on his body, he stopped to hear the fans cheering on his name for more of his performance.

He changed his shirt on stage on a prop sofa on stage and whispered to his fans, "I know you want me, too." He then began to sing "Kiss B". He calmed down again while singing "Now Is Good," a song gifted to him by Yoon Do Hyun.

After this, a video began to play. It was an interview of Jaejoong - what he thinks of his life as an idol star, what his idea of love is, and what his concerns in life are as a 28 year old was laid bare before his fans. He followed up with "That's How It Was," and the fans, understanding his heart, stopped to applaud Jaejoong for his honesty.

YG Entertainment's Gummy was a guest singer on stage for Jaejoong. Gummy entered the stage singing "Yuki no Hana" and "Shinjiteru" and sang "Luvholic" as a duet with Jaejoong. It was a song that Jaejoong and Ha Dong Kyun sang together on Jaejoong's first album. Gummy's harmony added a different, unique flavor for the fans to enjoy.

Jaejoong did his Japanese fans right by singing several Japanese songs on stage for them, including Nakanishi Yasushi's "Saigo no Ame", Nakashima Mika's "Glamorous Sky", Nakajima Miyuki's "Kesho", Drama "1 Liter of Tears" OST "Kona Yuki", and B'z's "Ultra Soul". The chorus part of "Ultra Soul" was especially well received by the fans.

If he didn't sing in Korean, one might have assumed Jaejoong as a Japanese artist. He spoke flawless Japanese, interacting with his fans with humor. One fan told him that she missed work to come see him, and Jaejoong shot her a heart with his hands, saying "Suge! (Great!)" with a smile.

Afterwards, drenched in sweat, Jaejoong went backstage to change his clothes. He spoke to his fans while changing his clothes through a live feed. He returned to the stage to sing three songs - "Let the Rhythm Flow", "Modem Beat", and "Just Another Girl." He then sang the encore songs "Mine" and "Paradise". He completely shed the shadow of an idol star and took on the image of a Rocker.

On the press conference before the concert in Osaka, Jaejoong said the difference between JYJ's performance and his solo performance is that of balance - whether he concentrates in balancing their individual charisma or letting the entirety of his star power shine through. Showing the prowess of a 10-year veteran, Jaejoong took the stage and let all of his charisma shine.

Ai, a fan from Goji who rode the Shinkansen (Japanese Bullet Train) for 4 hours to see Jaejoong, was exuberant, saying "this concert was his Christmas present to me. I'm glad to have met Jaejoong-claus!" Okada, who said that it was her first time seeing Jaejoong, expressed surprise, saying, "Jaejoong's stage is full of sexiness. His eyes really draw people in." Hayate, a male fan, claimed that Jaejoong was his idol, saying, "He won me over with his music."

Jaejoong completed his album tour, which had him travelling all over Asia. He will now focus on his upcoming national concert series, which will span 4 cities in Korea. It will begin in Busan on January 4th and end in Seoul on the January 26th.
