Scarlett Johansson Pregnancy Delaying Filming Of ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron?’ Captain America, Iron Man, And The Hulk Speaks Out About Co-Star

Scarlett Johansson's pregnancy came in as a surprise but the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' cast members and producers are determined to make filming easy for the 29-year-old actress.

However, even if Black Widow has the right to be picky, director Joss Whedon says that Johansson is very easy to work with. He adds that there are hired stuntwomen to assist the 'Nanny Diaries' actress in portraying her role as feisty chick Natasha Romanoff.

"She's very central to the movie and when we heard [about the pregnancy] we scheduled things around that. She's not going to spend the whole movie carrying groceries. We didn't trim any chances. We're like: We'll make this work," said the director to Entertainment Weekly.

There are reportedly three stuntwomen who have dots on their faces which will help Marvel's post-production team to digitally project Johansson's face on their bodies.

Even Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, confirms that her co-star remains professional despite her crucial state: "It really hasn't slowed us down at all. She'll be running around, diving and jumping and doing these things and you're like, 'She seems like she's got this.'"

Robert Downey Jr., who plays Tony Stark, says that Johansson's pregnancy is actually a blessing: "There's the element of just God's grace with Scarlett getting knocked up because that just civilised the whole thing right away."

"This is not going to be a massive grind. It's not possible. We have to accommodate the latest news from headquarters, which is, 'Oh my God, Scarlett Johansson is going to have a baby!'" he said.

Since the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' cast members are composed mostly of boys, Mark Ruffalo or the Hulk says that everyone is protective of the 'Don Jon' actress: "She's pregnant, and she's showing, and everyone loves and cares for her," Ruffalo said.

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' will hit cinema screens in May 2015 but Johansson will be first seen in the sci-fi flick 'Lucy.' In the film, Johansson will be playing the role of a drug mule. However, when a drug implanted in her body accidentally leaks into her system, she then becomes a superhuman.
