Keith Urban Tour 2014: Hologram Of Country Star To Tour Australia, While ‘Raise 'Em Up’ Hits The US

The Keith Urban tour of 2014 has just announced a high-tech new addition! The Australian star may feel that he doesn't get to spend enough time with fans from his home country, but that's all about to change.

Fans down under will be able to see Keith Urban perform his latest single, "Somewhere In My Car", by hologram!

Country Weekly writes that the addition of a hologram to Keith Urban's virtual Aussie tour means the star can now be with fans on opposite sides of the world simultaneously. While US fans can enjoy the real deal on the "Raise 'Em Up" 2014 tour, the hologram can fill in a bit of the void for Aussie fans.

"While the hologram craze is nothing new to music fans, as it's been done before with the late Michael Jackson and deceased rapper Tupac Shakur," said Country Weekly, "This is one of the first times that a living country artist has gotten involved with the projected 2-D technology."

When asked about the hologram technology by ABC News Radio after his Good Morning America performance, Keith Urban was excited by the prospect.

"I like the whole idea of that and what can be done with that," Keith said about the technology to ABC News Radio after his Good Morning America performance.

The country star's appearance in Central Park on GMA was a huge success, with the venue full to the brim with Urban fans.

The cheering crowd got a preview of what to expect on the "Raise 'Em Up" tour, with the Australian star strumming out three popular songs - "Somewhere In My Car", "You're Gonna Fly", and "Long Hot Summer".

The next stops on Keith Urban's "Raise 'Em Up" tour include New York City on July 21, Bethlehem, PA on August 10, and Holmdel, NJ on August 15.
