Mario Goetze Hates Journalists! World Cup 2014 Hero Finally Opens Up About Scoring, FC Bayern Player Prefers Chilling With Girlfriend Ann-Kathrin Brommel

Mario Goetze didn’t speak up about his World Cup 2014 victory goal because he hated journalists! The last time the FC Bayern player crossed paths with the media sharks, they criticized him for not celebrating enough after scoring two goals in a friendly game against Armenia. Mario Goetze much prefers chilling on the beach with his girlfriend Ann-Kathrin Brommel and shoo these pesky journalists away.

But the World Cup 2014 hero finally opened up about his experience. Turns out, there isn’t much to say about it.

"You don’t really think very much when you’re in a situation like that," Mario Goetze told Bild newspaper, "I could try to describe what happened to you but only after taking a look at the replay myself.”

Let’s hope that the journalists don’t criticize the FC Bayern Munich player for not remembering his most memorable moment in his career.

When the World Cup 2014 hero was asked why he held off on interviews, he admitted that he had to have sometime to process what had happened with the pesky media sharks breathing down his neck.

"To be honest I had to let it all sink in first," he said.

"I’ve had unpleasant experiences with some journalists in the past, it sometimes went below the belt. It’s fascinating that there’s an expectation for me to always be absolutely perfect. That`s why I now think twice before saying anything."

Mario Goetze is quite the expert on giving interviews! Fame does change people.

"I wanted to savor the moment. I also wanted to avoid saying something in a moment of euphoria that would stick forever. I`d rather stay down to earth. That’s why I wanted to get away from it all for a while."

Mario Goetze got to extend that moment of euphoria on the Spanish beach with his girlfriend Ann-Kathrin Brommel. He spent the glorious few days in Ibiza with Ann-Kathrin before going into FC Bayern training for pre-season.

"Everyone wants to play as much as possible in the World Cup," continued Goetze. "I think that I made a contribution to our winning the World Cup. Whenever I got my chances, my performance values were alright. I kept training hard (after being benched) and kept believing in myself."
