Model Ataui Deng went missing for ten days and was found on Monday night at a New York City hospital.

The 22-year-old Sudanese model Ataui Deng was last seen on August 6, near The Attic Lounge at 48^th Street and Eighth Avenue, reported The Daily Mail. But her modeling agency said that she was with her boyfriend, Grant Monohon, two days later than the reported sighting.

Monohon, who lives with the model, reportedly told Village Voice that Deng was acting "irregularly" before she disappeared. He then reported her missing eight days later to NYPD.

Following the news of her disappearance, model Ataui Deng's friends have taken to social media to spread the news. Some of her friends who openly asked for help in knowing her whereabouts were Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn and Rihanna.

"If any one has any information on this young lady's whereabouts, please call the NYPD or email findataui@gamil.com," tweeted Rihanna on Monday morning, alongside a photo of herself and Deng.

Jourdan Dunn took to her Instagram to spread the news, writing: "MISSING: Ataui Deng has been missing for 10 days, she was last seen in the Lower east side of NYC. She is 5'10 and slim. If you see her please contact NYPD missing persons or FindAtaui@gmail.com Thank you."

Australian model Shanina Shaik, who is a friend of Deng's, posted her message of relief upon learning that Deng is safe on her Instagram account.

Shaik regrammed a photo of Deng with the original captioned: "I am very happy to report that Ataui has been found. She is safe and sound. I want to thank all of our friends and followers and especially the NYPD for their swift and dedicated response. #FoundAtaui. Thanks again and much love." She then added her own caption: "thank you!! Love my sweet Ataui @atauid glad your safe. Xox"

Deng has appeared on the pages of Vogue Germany and Marie Claire, and had been one of the models for Rihanna's Spring 2013 collection for River Island.

She also walked for designers Zac Posen and Proenza Schouler.
