‘The Killing Season 5’ Far From Happening As Show Creator Believes There’s No More To Tell; Fans’ Unanswered Questions To Be Addressed Outside Netflix?

Despite speculations that "The Killing" season 5 might happen, show creator Veena Sud explains why a renewal is far from happening. Even if Netflix appears to want more, Sud believes that there is no more to tell about Linden and Holder.

"This is the end game and this is how it was envisioned from the beginning - that it will end this way. I believe there is no more story to tell after this. We truly end their story at the end of this season, so no, I don't think there's any more to tell," she told The Hollywood Reporter.

Sud also says that she wouldn't want any other ending for Linden and while she understandably did not reveal the story, she confirmed that wouldn't end in the woods.

Even if "The Killing" season 4 will be the last, Sud assures fans that no questions will be left unanswered. She hints that they will not use Netflix in addressing the queries of viewers.

"There was a quest for all of us to answer all the unanswered questions. So creatively, there's an expansiveness in being on a platform that doesn't have commercial breaks and you can use language that cops would really actually use on the street," she said in the same interview.

She also likened the final season to a "bullet train rushing to the end" with its dramatic plots: "It's the biggest movement and the most dramatic for all the characters because as you saw from the end of season three, Linden and Holder are in the center of this storm because of what they did in the woods."

Meanwhile, Netflix has released all the synopses of the "The Killing" season 4 episodes. The titles will be:

Episode 4.1 - "Blood in the Water"

Episode 4.2 - "Unravelling"

Episode 4.3 - "The Good Soldier"

Episode 4.4 - "Dream Baby Dream"

Episode 4.5 - "Truth Asunder"

Episode 4.6 - "Eden"
