Last week Pippa Middleton was caught out of style in torn jeans and without make up so she made up for the style mistake with some trendy pieces at Gstaad’s polo tournament with her boyfriend (rumored fiancé) Nico Jackson. Kate Middleton’s younger sister seems to have changed her tactic with Queen Elizabeth as well. The rumors are that Pippa holds back on her engagement announcement to appease the queen.

Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson shopped on London’s King’s Street, as it turns out, to prep for their little getaway to the fancy ski resort in Gstaad where this year’s Hublot Polo Gold Cup tournament is taking place. She traded in her baseball cap and torn jeans with a “floral dress and a jacket by French label Sandro” according to Daily Mail. Back to her usual business chic style.

While the newest couple in relations to the Buckingham Palace kept the PDA to minimum, the couple looked incredibly smiley in each other’s presence. Getting box seats for the swanky polo tournament probably didn’t hurt.

Kate Middleton’s younger sister has not been good terms with Queen Elizabeth this year. Pippa’s tendency to spill the beans on the royal family happenings has really put a strain on her relationship with the queen.

There has been rumors that Queen Elizabeth was sanctioning Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson’s engagement announcement being that it was overlapping with Prince George’s first birthday and, potentially, the announcement of Kate Middleton’s new pregnancy.

The queen got especially angry when Kate’s younger sister babbled about Kate, William and George on national television this past month.

It looks like Pippa is holding back on her engagement announcement to appease the queen. Love is indeed a battlefield.

Kate Middleton’s sister and her boyfriend love to share all the finer things in life like skiing, shopping, Wimbledon and polo tournaments. According to Daily Mail, the couple has never skied in Gstaad before, but have hit the slopes in Lech, Austria and St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Now that Nico Jackson lives in Geneva (after quitting his job at Deutsche Bank), Pippa will be able to ski as much as she wants! Every cloud has a silver lining.
