“I am Gossip Girl”, declared Penn Badgley during a performance with his newly-found band ‘Mother’. Since the show concluded portraying the dramas of New York’s rich and influential young adults, Penn Badgley went through a total transformation that may rival Miley Cyrus in its magnitude.

Since departing ‘Gossip Girl’, Penn Badgley has completely reinvented himself as a barista-wannabe, guitar playing Bushwick hipster living off of the Morgan L stop. To complete this picture-perfect life, he is now reportedly dating ‘Girls’ actress Jemima Kirke’s sister Domino, who also is in a band.

He is now the lead vocal for the band ‘Mother, which just concluded its West Coast tour.

Of course, not all transformations are flawlessly executed. And lucky for us, Penn Badgley wilingly documented all of his his reinvention on his Twitter.

One of his earlier tweets, this has the awk-but-cute appeal of a TV show star trying to become a Brooklyn hipster. Relatable, self-effacing - a total Lonely Boy move. But then began his devolution.

The ex ‘Gossip Girl’ star compares himself to a trailer-park-slash-beautifully-crafted-home. If this is supposed to be an ironic joke, it doesn’t come across like that. Not with the serious hipster filter on that photo.
