‘19 Kids And Counting’ Star Jill Duggar Married Derick Dillard Quickly To Give Into ‘Natural God-Given Desires,' Shortened Engagement To ‘Remain Pure’

With the premiere of ‘19 Kids and Counting’ season 9, Jill Duggar came out clean about the reason why she got married so quickly to her current hubby Derick Dillard. All they wanted to do is give into the “natural God-given desires”! Plus, that’s a great euphemism for having sex. The quickest way into the bed, in Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s neck of the woods, was to get hitched. So they shortened their engagement.

"You may not wanna push the wedding date out too far,” suggested Jill Duggar in an interview with Page Six, “As those natural God-given desires with too much time between engagement and marriage can make it harder to remain pure."

If you are gonna get married and if you can’t have fun while engaged, why delay the wedding?

"We prayed a lot, prepared and really didn't see any reason to have a long courtship and engagement," said the star of ‘19 Kids and Counting’.

Good thing Derick Dillard was also on the same page! Nothing stops those “God-given desires”. Ask the ‘19 Kids and Counting’ couple.

"If you are financially ready, and things are in place (which should be at the time the question is popped), we believe an engagement should only be long enough to plan a wedding!"

Maybe Jill decided to come out with all these reasons for staying pure before marriage to drum the idea into her younger sister and recently engaged Jessa Duggar. Their engagement game just 11 months after their courtship (Duggars don’t date, they “court”) and Ben Seewald, the fiancé moved into Jessa’s home to quicken the engagement process.

Jessa Duggar has also faced numerous accusations that they had “impure” relationships with her boyfriend Ben Seewald. Jill may have felt obligated to say something before things got way out of hand.

These ‘19 Kids and Counting’ couple doesn’t just have sex. They slapped the salmon with purpose, people. Just after two months after wedding, Jill and Derick Dillard announced that they are expecting.

"Understanding that the majority of miscarriages happen within the first trimester," Duggar, 23, told Page Six. "And believing that every life is precious no matter how young, we decided to share our joyful news as soon as we could."

Obviously these kids haven’t experienced real-life disappointments. But much luck to the couple as they move forward with the pregnancy!
