Zosia Mamet Goes Blonde: ‘Girls’ Star Joins The Platinum Trend Just In Time For New York Fashion Week

Everyone is going platinum blonde these days. "Girls" star Zosia Mamet is the latest celebrity to drastically lighten her locks.

The actress went for the bold makeover just as New York Fashion Week 2014 is set to commence.

Designer Rebecca Minkoff revealed the 26-year-old's new look on Instagram, sharing a photo with the caption:

"Decisions, decisions. One of our favorite Girls @zosia_mamet picking out an outfit for our #nyfw show #RMSPRING."

Mamet's bob also appears shorter in the picture.

The actress joins her "Girls" co-star Lena Dunham in the platinum blonde trend. Dunham revealed her new 'do via Instagram on Aug. 15 after season 4 of her hit HBO show finished filming.

Dunham paired the photo with a simple message, writing, "change is good."

It seems change is good for many stars as of late.

Former "Glee" actress Dianna Agron also dyed her short hair platinum recently. On Instagram she entitled her new style, "Midnight makeovers."

Country crooner Miranda Lambert and "Nashville" star Hayden Panettiere went shorter and blonder as well.

Even Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz adopted a fresh new platinum look, which he shared on Instagram.

As for Mamet, the starlet recently joined Gap's "Dress Normal" campaign, in which several celebrity spokespeople urge the company's customers to defy trends and express their own authenticity.

"It's about celebrating the confidence that comes by dressing how you're most comfortable," Gap's global chief marketing officer, Seth Farbman, told Fast Company. "Our message is--being your most authentic self is a style that will always endure."

The fashionista will likely put off some of her unique style at NYFW 2014 which begins on Sept. 4.
