Victoria Azarenka crashed out of US Open 2014, but stayed in the game long enough to flirt with Gael Monfils. Is Vika ready for love again after the split with Redfoo? After winning her 4th round match, Victoria Azarenka rallied the crowd at her court to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ for the French player Gael Monfils. Watch her attempt at the US Open 2014 on Youtube:

Was Vika trying to make moves on Gael Monfils after her split with Redfoo? Whatever it was, the song didn’t go well. According to Yahoo! Sports, the singing session devolved into “an awkward moment involving off-key wailing and disinterested fans who clearly felt little need to do any favors for Vika”.

Caroline Wozniacki even called her out.

“Vika,” the Danish player said, “You shouldn’t audition for The Voice. That was a screech.”

Redfoo once mentioned that he planned to get an engagement ring for Victoria that was bigger than the one that Rory McIlroy gave Caroline Wozniacki. Maybe the Danish player was still hurting from that comment.

Victoria Azarenka and Redfoo, possibly the oddest couple in tennis, broke up earlier this summer. According to Daily Mail, their “busy schedules drove them apart.” Even after all the engagement rumors, it looked like love didn’t last for Vika and Redfoo.

Unfortunately, her failure to rally the crowd to sing for Gael Monfils followed her to the quarterfinal match against Ekaterina Makarova. Victoria lost the match 4-6, 2-6, slightly embarrassing for the former world no. 1.

When the press asked her whether her food poisoning affected her game, she gave a harsh retort.

"You know what? I don't really want to talk about it,” Vika said, “I just, you know, want to give credit to my opponent. She played really well today.

“Am I disappointed? Yes, I'm disappointed. But I feel like I tried my best with whatever I had. But, you know, I just want to wish her good luck. That's it. I'm out of the tournament."

Let’s hope that Victoria Azarenka isn’t still hurting from the split with Redfoo.

Maybe if Gael Monfils wins his semifinal game against Roger Federer, he’ll do something sweet for Vika.
