From time to time, James Franco will drop a picture of his girl Lana Del Rey on his Instagram to sustain the rumor that ‘Child of God’ director and ‘Ultraviolence’ singer are dating. And indeed they are, if we are to interpret all those frolicking beach pictures that James Franco uploaded on his Instagram as a sign of intimacy. In the most recent Instagram picture, James Franco calls Lana Del Rey “baby”!

James Franco has not just been busy with his new movie projects, acting classes and red carpet events, but also getting his book published. His new book, ‘Hollywood Dreamings: Stories, Pictures, and Poems’ will be available to the public on September 23. But lucky for us, USA Today has an excerpt for us to read to see if James Franco’s new book is worth our bucks.

According to USA Today, his book “follows a Franco-like aspiring actor named Shrimp through a series of interconnected stories, poems and visual art.” Yep. It does sound like something that Franco would do.

But his story with Lana Del Rey is much more intriguing. It looks like he went on a little New York date with the ‘Ultraviolence’ singer to Coney Island, the nostalgic playground that Lana Del Rey loves to sing about.

He captured a sweet profile of the Americana-inspired singer. What are boyfriends for if not for capturing great Facebook profile pics?

Sadly, James Franco had to go back to business, resuming a filming project with Seth Rogen and Mindy Kaling.
