Bad news for Amanda Bynes. The actress was arrested on around 3:00 am on Sunday morning for a DUI.

And this latest development could pose additionally problems for the actress due to the fact that she is currently on probation from a similar violation in 2012.

According to TMZ, Bynes, who was driving a Mercedes, was stopped at an intersection on Van Nuys Blvd. in the San Fernando Valley.

The publication reported that a California Highway Patrol officer determined that the star was under the influence. Once Bynes was taken to the LAPD Van Nuys division, it was discovered that she had a drug in her system.  

Bynes was allegedly described on the incident report as disheveled. The "She's The Man" actress was booked for a misdemeanor, "driving under the influence of a controlled substance," and her bail was set for $15,000.

The former Nickelodeon child star, who has struggled with issues of mental illness in the past, was released from the police station just after noon on Sunday after posting bail.

A source for TMZ reportedly said that Bynes has been struggling to maintain a clean lifestyle after her parents' conservatorship over her ended earlier this month. "Things started going haywire," claimed the source.   

Bynes is set to appear in court on Oct. 23. The incident may have an impact on her current probation, which was ordered in February after the star was arrested for a DUI in 2012.

Since that previous probation term was set for three years, Sunday morning's arrest may cause further legal issues for the star.
