Manny Pacquiao Next Fight News: Coach Freddie Roach Wants 'Pacman' To Focus; 'Better Than Opponent' Sparring Partners Ready For Training

Manny Pacquiao's next fight will be a chance to prove his doubters wrong and Freddie Roach wants "Pacman" to focus. Meanwhile, his sparring partners - described as better than his opponent - are already lining up to test the former pound-for-pound king.

According to the Manny Pacquiao's next fight news from GMA Network, coach Freddie Roach has prohibited Manny Pacquiao from playing for Kia Sorentos team in the local league, Philippine Basketball Association, in order to avoid injuries.

He plays guard for the new team and also its playing coach. The team will make its debut on October 19.

The news website said that Freddie Roach wants the Filipino champ to be in tip-top shape for Manny Pacquiao's next fight in Macau on November 3.

The coach landed in General Santos City last Wednesday bringing along with him two American boxers, Stan Martyniouk and Mike Jones, who are billed as better than his opponent Chris Algieri, said ABS-CBN News.

"They're all very tall, very rangy like our opponent. They know how to move, they know what I want out of them," he said. "All three of them are better than the opponent so yes, they will help."

Martyniouk, a lightweight, has a 13-2 record while Jones, a welterweight, has a 26-2 win-loss record.

"It feels great, it's a great opportunity to be in the ring with a future legend. I'm very happy to be here, and I'm gonna help him out as best as I can and get him ready so he can be victorious," Martyniouk told the site.

Meanwhile, Jones conceded that it's going to be a good opportunity to test his skills heading into Manny Pacquiao's next fight.

"He's fight a guy that's as tall as I am, so it will be good work for him. I'm gonna push him to the limit. I know he's gonna push me and bring out the best in me," Jones added.
