Michael Schumacher News Update: F1 Champion's Recovery At Slow Pace; GoPro To Blame For Head Injury?

Michael Schumacher news update reveal that the F1 champion's recovery is moving on a slow pace as GoPro reportedly suffered slump when the device was blamed for Schumi's head injury.

Jean-Louis Moncet, a French F1 commentator, dished Michael Schumacher news update in an interview with the radio station Europe 1, said Express: "I saw his son and he told me that Schumi is waking up very slowly, very slowly."

Mick Schumacher is also trying to carve his own name in the racing world after good showings at two world kart competitions.

"Although things are going at a slow pace, he has a lot of time, I would say he has his whole life in front of him to get back on track," the commentator said.

The latest Michael Schumacher news update also proved to be surprising, due mainly to the report never made it to the press before, as the GoPro camera mounted on his helmet contributed to his current condition.

"The problem for Michael was not the hit, but the mounting of the Go-Pro camera that he had on his helmet that injured his brain," he claimed.

Michael Schumacher lapsed into a coma after the head injury he suffered while skiing in the French Alps on December 29.

As a result of the revelation, Sydney Morning Herald reported, GoPro shares dropped 10% over safety issues.

"Jeff Brown, a spokesman for San Mateo, California-based GoPro, said in a e-mail that the company is trying to get more information about the reports before issuing a statement," it said.

GoPro went public in June and found its stock declining 6.9 percent earlier this month.

But Alex Gauna, JMP Securities analyst, said that GoPro should come back.

"A move of this magnitude is common for GoPro. It's also very clearly stated in GoPro's risk factors that consumers should be cautious when engaging in risky activity," he told SMH.
