What should we look forward to for the premiere episode (S12E01) and the rest of Season 12? Warning: spoilers ahead!

According to the Toronto Sun, "Season 12 will see Alan (Jon Cryer) and Walden (Kutcher) pretend to be gay so they can adopt a baby. The adoptive hijinks are preceded by a "health scare" on the premiere episode that prompts Walden to reassess his life and legacy. In other words, it's basically just a slice of ordinary life. But for people of a certain age (mine), a good reason to watch Thursday's Season 12 debut would be to catch Jon Cryer dressed for Halloween as Duckie - the guy who SHOULD have ended up with Molly Ringwald in the classic '80s John Hughes film Pretty In Pink. (For his part, Walden is trick-or-treating as a zombie). Stills from the episode show Cryer can still convincingly convey Duckiness from behind the hat, sunglasses and period jacket. It'll be interesting to see how they script this meta-moment within the episode. As for the show's history of controversy, it looks like clear sailing from here on in. Ashton Kutcher may be the highest-paid actor on television, but he's also a new dad (with Mila Kunis). And half-men don't come cheap."

Entertainment Tonight adds, "In eleven seasons on the air, hit sitcom Two and a Half Men has featured its share of romances and weddings. But the show's season premiere featured a liplock most fans didn't see coming. "He's a good kisser," said Men star Jon Cryer of his co-star Ashton Kutcher. To kick off the twelfth and final season of the show, Cryer and Kutcher's characters get legally married so Kutcher can adopt a child, and the two share a kiss to seal the deal. "I can see what Mila sees in him." The actor poked more fun at new dad Kutcher and his bride-to-be Mila Kunis, telling ET, "I love that I'm married to him before she got her shot at marrying him." Cryer dressed up as Ducky, his iconic character from the John Hughes teen classic Pretty In Pink, for the show's Halloween episode, and confessed that reliving the role was "super strange." However, for fans who spotted him on set during a Warner Brothers lot tour, seeing him in Ducky's duds was a thrill. "I had to go from the costume room to my trailer," Cryer explained. "A couple of the tours passed by and they freaked out." While Ducky didn't get the girl, Cryer's character does find love in his new movie Hit By Lighting, albeit in an unusual manner. "It's sort of a combination of Body Heat and The Forty Year Old Virgin," Cryer says of the movie, in theaters Friday. "It's about a guy who's very lonely. He meets a girl on the internet who's beyond his wildest dreams, beautiful and wonderful, and they fall in love. Except she's married, and she needs him to kill her husband." Two and a Half Men airs Thursdays on CBS."

What will happen on next week's second episode of "Two And A Half Men" called "A Chic Bar in Ibiza?" According to the show's official synopsis, "Alan gets offended when Walden asks him to sign a prenuptial agreement, which gives him pause about getting married."
