Social 50 chart studies the social networking sites like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter to come up with the most active artist.

August 23, Billboards released their updated Social 50 chart for September 1. In the ranking, Psy beat international star Adel (10) and placed in the 9th place. The first place went to Taylor Swift, Gotye in 2nd and Wiz Khalifa in 3rd.

The Social 50 music chart on Billboards is a "ranking of the most active artists on the world's leading social networking sites. Artists' popularity is determined by a formula blending their weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views and weekly song plays, as measured by Next Big Sound."

Billboard mentions that Psy appeared in HyunA's version of "Gangnam Style", which is available for viewing on YouTube. HyunA's version of "Gangnam Style" has received over 17 million views. Currently, Psy has over 64,000 friends/followers on his social networking sites.
