It's hump day! This means that another new and exciting episode of "Chaika the Coffin Princess" season 2 "Avenging Battle," is now available to watch online. Episode 9, entitled "The Throne that Invites War," was simulcast via Crunchyroll for fans outside of Japan. This week's episode is still about the hunt for the remains, but perhaps one person is about to give up.

Synopsis:

               This episode opens with Toru and gang getting booted out into the dirt. Then, Red Chaika tells David that the quest is over for them and that he should give the remains to the White Chaika. They enter a room and find that Selma was ambushed and their collection of remains have been stolen by soldier. Red Chaika runs into Toru, where he admits that she's been captured.

               Inside the castle dungeon, Gillette is down for the count. Zita and partner come to rescue him and those with him. Back with Toru and his group, Toru curses how badly everything is going before stating they should head out. Finally the King's ulterior motive for the tournament is revealed: Gillete has figured out that the tournament was organized to gather all the remains in one location as to start another war.

               The White Chaika is brought to the King where she remembers almost being murdered, but she's unsure of where the memory is coming from. Toru, Gillette, and crew finally arrive to the King's throne where all the remains are gathered. White Chaika is to be executed. Chaika Gaz eats the remains and taunts White Chaika for failing her mission. But eating the remains is causing her pain as the power surges through her. Arthur Gaz is reborn and reveals that Chaikas are not his daughters but merely tools to bring back his magic. He states that they all fulfilled this mission entitled the "Chaika technique."

               Arthur Gaz explains his motivations for having himself killed and sets out to create endless war for all those who desire battle. He also takes down the fake King. He fires a shot out of the kingdom in order to start this war.
