Psy's Fifth Straight Week As #1 on Billboard's Social 50

For the fifth straight week on Billboard's Social 50, Psy continues to dominate the charts with the extreme popularity of "Gangnam Style".

On their website, Billboard classifies the Social 50 as, "...rank[ing] the most popular artists on YouTube, Vevo, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, using a formula that blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with weekly artist page views and weekly song plays."

By getting hundreds and millions of views and likes on YouTube for "Gangnam Style", all of Psy's social networking sites are flooded with comments and likes encouraging the rapper and boosting his popularity. Not to mention, his appearances have garnered the attention of many on television shows as well. There's no doubt that Psy's popularity has no way to go but up!

Billboard also notes Psy's accomplishments within the last week or so:

- A second appearance on "The Ellen Degeneres Show." 
- Guest slot at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. 
- He made the Guinness Book of World Records for the most liked YouTube video of all time. 
- He met Bon Jovi and LMFAO's Redfoo. 
- "Gangnam Style" hit No. 2 on the Hot 100 and No. 1 in the iTunes Music Store in 31 countries. 
- He stopped by "Chelsea Lately" and appeared on "Extra" with Mario Lopez to talk about partying with Usher. 
- Lastly, he updated his Twitter to display a new and simpler "Gangnam Style"-oriented background.
