Kerry Washington and husband Nnamdi Asomugha are allegedly facing their own "scandal" as divorce reportedly looms shortly after the birth of their daughter, baby Isabelle.

In a piece from OK! Magazine, it was reported that the "Scandal" actress and the former NFL football player have kept their union under wraps, but "the secrecy may be for good reason."

"Many suspect the 'Scandal' star is just protecting her family's privacy. But an insider told OK! that even though they've been married for over one year, Washington has 'spent very little time' with her hubby," the report said.

The magazine added that Kerry Washington in various interviews only talked about her TV shows and other projects, and not her marriage to Nnamdi Asomugha or their daughter Isabelle.

The magazine pointed out the October 2013 issue of Glamour where Kerry Washington talked about the importance of keeping their privacy: "I'm walking around in the world with my ring. And when people say congratulations, I say thank you. But I'm going to continue to not talk about it and just let it unfold," she said.

However, the insider insisted to OK that Kerry Washington and husband Nnamdi Asomugha may be heading for divorce despite the birth of their baby early this year.

"The insider hinted that even if they were more open, Washington and her former footballer husband wouldn't have much to tell about their relationship since they are rarely together," it said.

Earlier, tabloid Terez Owenz claimed that Kerry Washington and her husband Nnamdi Asomugha's marriage is a sham as it claimed that the football player is actually gay.

But Hollywood Life claimed that Kerry Washington is not involved in her very own scandal as the divorce rumors involving husband Nnamdi Asomugha are all false. "[The divorce is] not happening. They are actually excited for the holidays as a family and have no drama in their lives. Leave that for the TV show!" the source told the site.
