The Internet broke not from nude images of Kim Kardashian but rather her selfie that showed baby North West being cropped.

"The off-center shot, showing a sliver of North's face, was reamed in Instagram comments-proving that when it comes to celebrity motherhood, social media is often a 'you lose some, you lose some' scenario," said TIME magazine.

As TMZ puts it, Kim Kardashian's selfie showed Kanye West's wife doesn't like to share the spotlight, which is why she cropped baby North out of the picture.

The gossip news site then posted some of the nasty comments on the Internet:

"Seriously you can't even let your own child in a picture with you #selfishness"

"Lmao if she loved her child she wouldnt have cropped out the pic"

"Narcissism at it's finest"

"crop game strongggg, poor North your mom would rather showoff a brick wall than you.....SHAME!!!"

This wasn't the first time that Kim Kardashian broke the Internet, when last month Paper Magazine published a series of photos where Kanye West's wife went full frontal and showing her post-baby figure.

Hollywood Life even included the Kim Kardashian naked butt in its list of nine moments that broke the Internet for 2014.

The other moments included Ellen DeGeneres' selfie with the winners of Oscars; Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" video; the Ice Bucket Challenge; Beyonce's MTV performance; Justin Bieber's blonde locks; and Nick Jonas' Flaunt magazine cover.

Speaking to Glamour magazine after the various Internet memes inspired by the Kim Kardashian nude photoshoot, she said: "You just have to have a sense of humour. It's entertaining and some of the things I thought were really funny and you have to laugh at it."

Certainly, Kim Kardashian won't be laughing at most of the comments when she cropped North West out of her latest selfie. But Kanye West's wife defended her action. 

According to a report by MTV, Kim Kardashian's selfie that broke the Internet happened mainly because it was not North's flattering angle.

In her Twitter post, the seemingly irked reality star claimed her baby's "eyes were closed and I was feeling my look!" She added: "Can I live?!?!"
