Shin Hyun Joon had already betrayed Kim Jung Eun once.

On the Monday episode of KBS "Ohlala Couple," Na Yeo Ok (Kim Jung Eun) and Go Su Nam (Shin Hyun Joon) were shown in their past life in the epilogue.

Sayuri (Kim Jung Eun) was a geisha and had always held a letter from her man Ju Hwan (Shin Hyun Joon) and the letter said things about how they wanted to die together. She was helping the Korean effort for independence and had been caught by the Japanese soldiers and committed suicide, believing that her man would follow her into death.

Ju Hwan rushed over to her, already too late and was crying his heart out. However, he finds the letter and reads it and as soon as he does, he put her down. It was clear that he couldn't die for her as well. He says, "Sorry, Sayuri. I can't go now. I would go with you hundreds of times but there's so much I need to do. Who's going to fight for this country?"

Sayuri, now a ghost, watches him as he tells her this, kneeling in front of her body. Dead, she screams, "I'm already dead! I can't understand! I won't forgive you you little prick!" Ju Hwan, wiping his tears, tells her to rest in peace. She says, "I trusted you. All men are the same," and tries to hit him but her hits are obviously ineffective. She then just watched him as he stepped away.

Nothing had changed between Ju Hwan and Go Su Nam. He only accepted the sacrifice from Yeo Ok and had never done anything for anyone other than himself.
