U.N Secretary general Ban Ki Moon stated that he was proud of Psy and "Gangnam Style."

The general commented, "I am shocked that over 400 million viewers watched and liked his video. This is something to be proud of."

During an interview with AFP, he also commented, "I've watched the video several times myself."

He continued, "Music is considered a universal language because we feel it with our hearts and not the words. It is through things like this that we are able to understand one's culture better. In an era of anxiety and intolerance, we are able to understand each other better through the power of music."

Psy has recently become a global sensation with his song, "Gangnam Style." He has ranked number 1 on iTunes in 30 countries and has ranked number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Main Single Chart 'HOT 100'.

He has also reached 400 million views on Youtube with his music video for "Gangnam Style."

He has appeared on many shows such as the "Ellen Show" and "SNL" and featured on news programs such as NBC and CNN.

He has also recently signed a contract with Justin Bieber's agency and plans to release his first U.S. single sometime in November.
