SM Entertainment released the first teaser images for a unique musical.

School Oz is the upcoming hologram musical produced by SM Entertainment, the first of its kind in the world. The teaser video released by the company shows multiple popular SM Entertainment idols acting characters in a fantasy plot set in OZ.

The musical is a combination of a movie and a live play, transformed into holograms.

Red Velvet's Seulgi will play Dorothy, who goes missing, and a knight who saves the kingdom of OZ from evil. TVXQ's Changmin as Oscar, SHINee's Key as David, f(x)'s Luna as Diana, EXO's Xiumin as Aquila, and EXO's Suho as Hans. Girls' Generation's Yoona and Super Junior's Leeteuk will also make cameo appearances in the musical.

School OZ will be 110 minutes long, and feature a family-friendly plot. The SM Entertainment artists sang original songs for the production.

The SMTOWN Theater will air the musical, using screens, projectors, and an advanced sound system. The musical uses many special effects to make the show as realistic as possible.

SM Entertainment will also premier a hologram concert, Girl Story, which will feature performances by SM Entertainment Artists.

Fan reactions have been mixed, with many international fans commenting on the teaser video demanding that the musical be available to international fans via streaming or DVDs. Fans also expressed frustration that no Girls' Generation, Super Junior, or TRAX members were cast as primary characters.

The hologram musicals will first premier on January 14 at the SMTOWN@coexartium exhibit in Seoul.
