Donald Trump Ridiculed For Charlie Hebdo Rants: Victims ‘Would Have Had A Fighting Chance’ If They Carried Guns

After making headlines last year for blaming US President Barack Obama for Ebola, several web users found Donald Trump's latest rants distasteful. This time, the business mogul's tirades were about the Charlie Hebdo terror attack in Paris which left 12 people dead. Shortly after the murder took place, Trump expressed his views on Twitter.

"Remember, when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns!" wrote the gun advocate. He added that the victims of the January 7 shooting would have had a fair chance if they carried weapons.

"If the people so violently shot down in Paris had guns, at least they would have had a fighting chance," read the post. Finally, the real estate mogul found it ironic that the crime happened in Paris: "Isn't it interesting that the tragedy in Paris took place in one of the toughest gun control countries in the world?"

It appears that the television personality is unaware that two of the victims were armed policemen. News organizations were also included in Trump's rants.

"Almost no news organizations are showing the 'satirical' pictures. Gee, I wonder why? The media is usually so brave!" he wrote.

Twitter users have immediately reacted to the billionaire's rants:

"So if the worlds' journalists and illustrators carried guns, things would be better?! Get a grip, please..." wrote@ChristianWolny
" You can't even hear yourself, can you? Doesn't anybody love you enough to take Twitter away from you/get you help? How sad," wrote @sazzy69

"You really had to make that asinine comment in the wake of a tragedy just to promote yourself didn't you?" wrote @22Scott

"You do realize more people last year died from gun related incidents in the US than in all of the EU combined? #WhatAJoke" wrote @IcMeltdown

What do you think of Trump's views about the tragedy which struck Charlie Hebdo?
