‘Koufuku Graffiti' Or ‘Gourmet Girl Graffiti' Gets Licensed By Crunchyroll, Streaming Dates To Be Announced

Although there's been plenty of anime announcements and premieres to keep fans busy, it looks like there's no better time than to buy a Crunchyroll subscription.

Even I'm considering it now.

In addition to the already large list of anime that will be coming to Crunchyroll over the next few days, the company has now added the cute yet oddly sensual cooking anime series "Koufuku Graffiti." It's official English title is reported to be "Gourmet Girl Graffiti." Although Crunchyroll doesn't have an official date for the streaming offer, given the speed they're moving at, it will likely be in time for the series' second episode.

Crunchyroll fans were very pleased with the announcement that the cooking series would be available to stream legally outside of Japan.

"Finally a new series for the season on CR that I'm actually interested in. Woohoo!" exclaimed StriderShinryu

"Food porn! I'm so excited! Bring on that start date CR!" said Feia20032.

"Will be watching this for the food, cute girls, and some ...well, I hope we get some cute head hilts," commented Stark700.

According to Anime News Network, "Gourmet Girl Graffiti" will star the following voice actresses: Rina Satou as Ryo Machiko, Asuka Ogame as Kirin Morino, Mikako Komatus as Shiina, Yuka Iguchi as Yuki Uchiki, Yu Kobayashi as Tsuyuko, and Ai Nonaka as Akira Michiko.

If the cast is not convincing, the series has a considerably talented crew including "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" director Akiyuki Shinbo. Shinbo will direct alongside Naoyuki Tatsuwa. Kazuya Shiotsuki, who handled animation direction on "Puella Magi Madoka Magica," will design the characters. Finally, SHAFT production studio is helming the project.

"Gourmet Girl Graffiti" is described as follows by Anime News Network:

"The story follows Ryo, a middle school girl who lives by herself. She has a knack for cooking, and she makes friendships with everyone through her food. The cooking manga is ‘full of detailed cuisine art to whet the appetite and slightly erotic meal scenes.' The ‘kofuku' in the title is a wordplay on two Japanese homonyms - one that means "happiness," and another that means ‘appetite.'"
