Concert Review: CNBLUE 2012 Japan Arena Tour Finishes at Saitama

CNBLUE recently concluded their first Arena Tour, 'CNBLUE Arena Tour 2012 ~COME ON!!!' with a 2 day final stage at Saitama Super Arena on October 20 and October 21.

At first, the venue was illuminated with red lights, and a silhouette of the members were projected on the large screen. The live concert started with  "Come on"! They performed 6 rock numbers for the intro set.

After the intro set, "Hello, this is CNBLUE! Isn't that great, Saitama!! Thank you very much for coming! " Jung Yong Hwa said in greeting and appreciation to the fans who came, while being impressed with the size of the Saitama Super Arena.

Yong Hwa then played the piano and sang "Feeling" and "These days" along with Lee Jong Hyun in a whispery voice that wrapped the venue in a healing atmosphere.

After the special stage, Jong Hyun shared that they also recently held their first solo live concert in the U.K. which is the home country of Rock.  They then played, "Have a good night" and "Wake up" which turned the venue into a dance floor under a glittery mirror ball.

When they sang "Blue Sky" and "Teardrops in the Rain", the members put their musical instruments, walked to the extended stage, and gathered on the sub stage. Their chorus made the audience in the venue gasp in awe.

They also sang ad-lib "Gotochi (Local) Gourmet song" !  As it was the last day of the tour, they mixed Gotochi Gourmet lyrics featuring the local delicacies of the places they toured in -- like Takoyaki in Osaka, Chicken Wings in Nagoya, Koshihikari (rice brand) in Niigata. At the Saitama in Tokyo, they sang the ad-lib song with their favourite Gyudon bowl and Convenience store.

"This year we had less music activities, but thanks to all of you who waited for us listening to our music, we could make arena tour. Thank you" Jong Hyun said, "Even individual activities have been increasing recently, we really feel we are CNBLUE when all four of us hold live concerts. Let's make live concerts together from now on! Thank you very much!" Yong Hwa followed with appreciation to the fans.

When "Time is over" started, the countdown time was shown on the large screen. The clock showed 0:00 when the performance ended.

The crowd kept cheering for an Encore, when "Break Time is Over" projected on the large screen as the first encore started. When the debut single "In My Head" rang out, the audience got more excited. When the audience saw the CNBLUE members trying to reach out to the fans as close as they could and taking photos of the grooving venue on a mobile phone, they got a lot more excited. "Our new album "CODE NAME BLUE" ranked #1 on Oricon Weekly Chart. Thanks to you all. Thank you very much indeed. But it's just started here! We shall do our best!!" They said to everyone in attendance.

When the first encore ended, everyone kept clapping their hands and the encore cheering won't stop, so the double encore started!!  Even after the second encore, the cheering wouldn't stop and they went on the triple encore.

The live concert went on for 3 hours. CNBLUE performed 23 songs. The 9 live concerts in 6 cities with total of 100,000 people in attendance has ended successfully.

Their 4th single will be released on December 19 and "Arena Tour 2012 ~ COME ON!!! ~ @ SAITAMA SUPER ARENA" DVD will be released on January 23, 2013.
