George Zimmerman In Trouble With The Law Again, Trayvon Martin Killer Arrested On Charges Of Aggravated Assault [PHOTO]

George Zimmerman, the man acquitted of killing unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in 2013, has recently been arrested for throwing a wine bottle at his girlfriend. According to the Associated Press, he was arrested at his home in Lake Mary, Florida, this past Friday night with charges of aggravated assault.

USA Today reports that a $5,000 bond was posted, which allowed Zimmerman to be released at 12:15 pm Saturday afternoon. Though no firearms were involved in the assault, Zimmerman has been ordered to surrender all firearms in his possession for cautionary reasons.

He was also instructed to pack up and give his girlfriend's belongings to his lawyer, and to avoid contact with her and her area of residence. His girlfriend remains unidentified.

Zimmerman's attorney, Don West, stated of the assault, "No injuries, no contact, nothing that I'm aware of that led up to it. It's just one of those things that somehow brought us here."

Zimmerman is scheduled to appear back in court on Feb. 17.

Since his acquittal in 2013, Zimmerman has had many encounters with the law - most of them having to do with the women in his life. Before his ex-wife Shellie Zimmerman filed divorce papers, she accused him of smashing an iPad during an argument they had.

In another instance, ex-girlfriend Samantha Scheibe accused Zimmerman of pointing a gun at her face during an argument, smashing her coffee table, and kicking her out of their shared home. In both cases, neither woman decided to follow up with the police and/or lacked enough evidence for their complaints.

According to ABC News, no further details about the assault were released. A message left for Seminole County Sheriff officials seeking further information about the incident was not immediately returned Saturday morning.
