K-Pop Review: B.A.P.'s Third Single, 'Stop It'

TS Entertainment's out-of-this-world rookie group of 2012, B.A.P. has released another single album. This time they want you to "Stop It!"

With much effort to win the rookie awards this year, B.A.P. have been working hard releasing a good number of singles and mini-albums just this year alone.

They debuted with the song "Warrior" and filmed a pre-debut reality series produced by MTV titled: "Ta-Dah! It's B.A.P." Just the debut alone really grabbed much attention not only from domestic fans but internationally as well. After their debut song promotions were closed, it wasn't long that the group released their first comeback. With much "Power" B.A.P. has been making big impacts with their overall hip-hop styles. Their "No Mercy" mindset they release another single to keep persevering to the top. But will they "Crash" on the way their with out having a rest?

Now with their third single album of the year, "Stop It," the group is trying to balance all the rap based songs with more vocals and showing their more playful nature. The main song off this single album, has a similarity to their previous summer song, "Crash." In contrast to their debut, comeback and second comeback, the vocalists of the group (Daehyun, Youngjae, Jongup and Himchan), come through more and have Bang Yongguk and youngest member Zelo are stepping back a bit for their rapping sequences. The song sure has a positive nature when you listen to it and gets you on your feet.

The music video for "Stop It" is very whimsical and it has a very distinct story line. That you should try to pay attention to some the details.

The single album contains two other tracks along with "Stop It." "Yes, Sir" is a powerful intro and street hip hop vibe song that many are familiar to listening to from B.A.P.. While "Happy Birthday" is a slowed tempo, mellow and soothing song that you can usually hear from drama soundtracks. Personally, this is a 360 degree sound to what's familiar before.

Definitely recommend this single album!

B.A.P. is currently preparing for their comeback and at the same time filming their reality series "B.A.P. Killing Camp" on Mnet. Don't forget to give your votes to B.A.P. for the MAMA awards for the rookie group category!
