The HTC has unveiled their latest smartphone, the HTC Desire 826 at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. The HTC Desire 826 is speculated to have better features and specs compared to the HTC One M8, so we compare the two smartphones to identify which one is really better.

According to GSM Arena, the HTC Desire 826 has a 5.5-inch size with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 with ppi of 401. While the HTC One M8 has a 5.0-inch size with the same resolution as to Desire 826, but it has a ppi of 441.

Under the hood, the HTC One M8 runs on a Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz (US/EMEA) and 2.5 GHz (Asia/China). In comparison, the HTC Desire 826 runs on a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at a combination of four 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 cores and four 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 cores.

Also, the HTC Desire 826 has 2GB of RAM and it has an Adreno 405 GPU, while the HTC One M8 has 2GB of RAM and it has an Adreno 330 GPU.

In terms of storage capacity, the HTC One M8 has 16 and 32GB variants and its storage could be increased up to 128GB via memory card. However, the HTC Desire 826 has 16GB variant and its storage capacity could be increased up to 128GB as well.

Furthermore, the HTC Desire 826 has a 13MP camera at the back and 4MP camera on the front. The camera has autofocus, LED flash, geo tagging, face detection, touch to focus and simultaneous HD and video and image recording.

Whereas, the HTC One M8 has a dual 4MP camera at the back and 5MP camera on the front. It features dual LED flash, Geo tagging, HDR, panorama and other photography features you can explore with.

Moreover, both smartphones have the same battery capacity of 2600 mAh.

Meanwhile, the HTC One M8 costs $485 according to Amazon, while the international Business Times reported that HTC Desire 826 might cost around $475 without a contract.
