On Thursday, Billboard "K-Town" columnist Jeff Benjamin revealedhis picks for the top 5 K-pop artists to watch out for in 2015. Benjamin's picks include iKON, Mamamoo, Jooyoung, G.Soul and G-Friend.

"These five artists have not yet broken into the market’s mainstream consciousness, based on fan anticipations, past chart performance, YouTube views and industry talk,” Benjamin wrote.

Though YG Entertainment’s newest boy band, iKON, is still working on their debut, members Bobby and BI have been seen in Epik High and Hi Suhyun’s music videos.

Girl group Mamamoo have become known for their vocals and retro-style music, making them one of the top girl group to look out for, according to the Billboard article.

G.Soul, who trained at JYP Entertainment for 15 years, has finally made his debut with his song, “You.” Fans and media alike are anticipating what he will bring out next for this year.

“That shy kid from fifteen years ago is standing before me as a surprising artist,” JYP Entertainment’s CEO Park Jin Young commented in G.Soul’s teaser video.

Jooyoung, who is best known for his collaboration with SISTAR’s Hyorin for their song, “Erase,” has been called Starship Entertainment’s "secret weapon," according to Benjamin.

GFriend debuted with their song, “Glass Bead” creating a new classic and innocent look, straying away from the 2014 ‘sexy’ trend.
