Planning a new office or an adventurous trip to the mountains? Visualizing your world just got easier without burning a hole in your pocket as Google announced that Google Earth Pro is now available for free!

According to reports from Engadget.com, the Google Earth Pro gives users an array of tools to measure 3D building and other locations, print high-resolution screenshots, view demographic, traffic layers and the ability to record your virtual trips. To be able to use it for free, you must sign up for a license and ensure your PC or Mac  could meet the minimum system requirements to run the program.

Product Manager of Google Earth Pro, Stafford Marquardt, wrote on Google-Latlong.Blogspot.in regarding Earth Pro.

"Over the last 10 years, businesses, scientists and hobbyists from all over the world have been using Google Earth Pro for everything from planning hikes to placing solar panels on rooftops."

He further adds;

"Google Earth Pro has all the easy-to-use features and detailed imagery of Google Earth, along with advanced tools that help you measure 3D buildings, print high-resolution images for presentations or reports, and record HD movies of your virtual flights around the world."

"Starting today, even more people will be able to access Google Earth Pro: we're making it available for free. To see what Earth Pro can do for you-or to just have fun flying around the world." 

In order to download Earth Pro, you need to get a free key first and download the app from Google's official download page. However, if you are already a Pro user, you won't have to change anything.

If you are not a planner or developer, an upgraded version of Google Earth may not be much use for you. Nevertheless, filming HD movies definitely sounds like fun!
