Seattle Seahawks Cornerback Richard Sherman And Ashley Moss Welcome Baby Boy, Player No. 25's Son Born On 2/5 [PHOTO]

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and his girlfriend Ashley Moss have just welcomed their son Rayden into the world. According to Bleacher Report, Rayden was born on Feb. 5th, giving him a birthday that happens to match his father's jersey - number #25.

It seems like little Rayden arrived at just the right time.  This past Sunday, Sherman was able to play in the Super Bowl XLIX versus the New England Patriots in Glendale, Arizona, without missing the birth of his son. Though he may have been bummed about his team's loss, he's definitely not feeling down in the dumps anymore!

This Thursday morning, he tweeted, "My son sure does know how to make an entrance! 2/5/15... Is it a coincidence or is he just that clever?! Either way I'm ecstatic!" Sherman also posted on Facebook later in the afternoon, stating, "Haven't felt anything better than this! Thank you God such a blessing! And thank you 12s for all the love and support."

Sherman sounds like he'll be a great and loving father. According to The Seattle Times, a reporter at the Super Bowl asked Sherman if he was looking forward to spending time with his child. He replied, "I am looking forward to it. It's one of those things; it will be a life-changing. I'm looking forward to having a chance to raise my son and meet everybody, and teach him things that I know."

He has also spoken on what it means to have a child, stating, "It's someone that actually depends on you for everyday living. Everything they do is dependent on you and how you provide and how successful you are."

Thankfully, it doesn't look like Sherman will have any problems providing for his family anytime soon. The Seattle Times reports that he signed a four-year extension last May, which will carry him through the 2018 season and guarantee him $40 million.

Congratulations to the happy couple on the birth of their child!
